Salvatore of Lucan and Megan Nolan Walsh

The National Gallery of Ireland Shop is delighted to present this scarf collaboration between Salvatore of Lucan and Megan Nolan Walsh. It consists of three designs, each of which are connected to Salvatore's commissioned portrait of footballing legend Paul McGrath. In the artist's own words:

 

"This scarf collab was birthed out of the mutual will of both Megan Walsh Nolan and Salvatore of Lucan to make a few bob. However, it was also an opportunity for two old friends from Lucan to make something together. Salvatore of Lucan (me) did a portrait commission of the legendary Irish footballer Paul McGrath for the National Gallery that was unveiled in 2025 and so the opportunity arose to do something for the shop there to sell (I asked could I). Having never designed anything really before Salvatore asked designer Megan Walsh Nolan would she get involved."
